The next opportunity to take the VIP training is coming up soon. This single-day class will be held Saturday March 28 at City Hall, 1500 Marilla downtown from 10am-4pm, and concludes with a tour of the 911 call center.
The Volunteers-in-Patrol is a program designed to reduce crime by having citizens patrol their own neighborhoods and report any suspicious or criminal activity to the police. It is strictly non-confrontational.
It is a fact: Statistics prove that in neighborhoods with active VIP groups crime goes down. VIP is an effective way to reduce crime. Period.
Why not take the class with a neighbor? It's a great way to contribute to the safety of our neighborhood.
